Instructions for Authors

All submission should be made as PDF files (with all fonts embedded) to the Energy Informatics 2023 EasyChair submission site.

Submissions must be prepared following this guideline.

Please read this document carefully. Energy Informatics 2023 uses a modified BMC template to simplify the submission and production processes for authors. Be sure to read the following instructions as well as the notes below. If you have any questions about the template, please feel free to contact info@energy-informatics2023.org.

Important

  • Keep the section unnumbered by using the \section* command. The author should use \nameref for reference.
  • If you use glossaries, run the external makeglossaries command for them to show.
  • Do NOT use other bibliography styles, style files or citation styles. Only use the provided files!

Notes

  • Please place figures and tables in the text where needed. Do NOT place figures or tables at the end of the document.
  • Please do NOT use DOIs in your bibliography. The style file does not support certain types of DOIs and breaks if they are used.
  • Please use high-resolution PNG or PDF files as figures whenever possible.
  • Please keep the sections in the backmatter and fill out all required information.
  • The conference language is English, and papers must be written in English. We solicit full research papers (max. 18 pages of content plus 2 additional pages for references) as well as short papers (max. 10 pages of content plus 2 additional pages for references).

Presentations

In preparation for your presentation, we kindly request you to adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Please prepare a 15-minute presentation. We recommend including no more than 7-8 content slides to ensure a concise and effective delivery of your research findings.
  2. There will be 5-minute for discussion following your presentation.
  3. The conference does not provide a specific template for the presentation slides, hence you are free to choose your own layout that best suits your content.
  4. A member from the organizational team (session chair) will be available throughout the sessions for technical assistance.
  5. All necessary equipment, including a PC, Beamer, and remote, will be available in the room.

Your presentation will be pre-loaded on the local machine for your session. For details regarding the time of the sessions, please refer to the conference program (Program – The 12th DACH+ Conference on Energy Informatics (energy-informatics2023.org)). As a presenter, we ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before your session begins to familiarize yourself with the room and meet your session chair. We kindly ask you to send us your presentation by 12:00 on October 3, 2023. Please email us your presentation to info@energy-informatics2023.org (Subject: “Presentation – Session XXX”).
